  • Valtellina Superiore DOCG has five subzones, each with distinct characteristics: Grumello, Inferno, Maroggia, Sassella, Valgella.

  • Valtellina Superiore wines usually have an alcohol content ranging from 12.5% to 14.5%, reflecting the ripeness and concentration of the grapes.
  • The steep, terraced vineyards of Valtellina are a unique feature of the region. These terraces, known as “ronchi,” are built with dry stone walls and are a testament to the region’s ancient winemaking heritage.
