  • Sparkling: minimum 85% Pinot Bianco + maximum 15% of other grape varieties allowed for cultivation in the region for the monovarietal label. Minimum 70% Riesling Italico + maximum 30% of other grape varieties allowed for cultivation in the region for the monovarietal label. Minimum 30% Groppello di Mocasina, Groppello di Santo Stefano, Groppello Gentile + minimum  5% Marzemino + minimum 5% Sangiovese + minimum 5% Barbera + maximum 10% of other grape varieties allowed for cultivation in the region for Rosato. 
  • Still White Wine: minimum 85% Garganega or Pinot Bianco or Pinot Grigio or Chardonnay or Riesling Italico or Cortese or Sauvignon Blanc or Tocai Friulano (only within the provinces of Verona, Veneto) + maximum 15% of other grape varieties allowed for cultivation in the region for the monovarietal label. Minimum 70% Riesling Italico + maximum 30% of other non aromatic white grape varieties allowed for cultivation in the region
  • Still Red Wine: minimum 85% Cabernet or Cabernet Franc or Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot or Pinot Nero or Marzemino or Corvina or Barbera + maximum 15% of other grape varieties allowed for cultivation in the region for the monovarietal label. Minimum 30% Groppello di Mocasina, Groppello di Santo Stefano, Groppello Gentile + minimum  5% Marzemino + minimum 5% Sangiovese + minimum 5% Barbera + maximum 10% of other grape varieties allowed for cultivation in the region. Minimum 85% Groppello di Mocasina, Groppello di Santo Stefano, Groppello Gentile + maximum 15% of other red non-aromatic grape varieties allowed for cultivation in the region with a minimum ageing of 24 months for Riserva.
  • Still Rosato Wine: minimum 30% Groppello di Mocasina, Groppello di Santo Stefano, Groppello Gentile + minimum  5% Marzemino + minimum 5% Sangiovese + minimum 5% Barbera + maximum 10% of other grape varieties allowed for cultivation in the region.

  • Garda DOC surrounds the scenic Lake Garda, the largest lake in Italy, and spans across the provinces of Verona (Veneto) and Brescia and Mantua (Lombardy). The region’s vineyards benefit from the lake’s moderating effect on the climate.
