Fiano fell out of favor and nearly vanished until it was rediscovered by Mastroberandino.
Its debut as a monovarietal wine was in 1945, with only 30 bottles produced.
Fiano is remarkably versatile, capable of producing a spectrum of wines ranging from light-bodied to full-bodied, and from dry to sweet, offering options from easygoing to remarkably age-worthy. The latter examples can gracefully mature and improve for a decade or more, a rarity among Italian white wines.

The quintessential Fiano wines showcase refined aromas of hazelnut, green apple, pear, and honey.
With aging, Fiano wines develop a toasty, slightly herbal note, adding depth and complexity to their profile.
Unlike other Campania varieties, the characteristics of Fiano wine are significantly influenced by variables such as the timing of harvest and the duration of air-drying. These factors play a crucial role in shaping the wine’s overall character and nuances.
