- The vineyards are spread across the entire island of Sardinia, which has a diverse range of microclimates. The island’s warm, Mediterranean climate with plenty of sunshine and minimal rainfall is ideal for growing Cannonau grapes.
- The unique terroir of Sardinia, including its varied soils (from sandy to calcareous) and hilly terrain, contributes to the distinctive character of Cannonau di Sardegna wines. Each sub-region within the DOC can impart its unique flavor profile to the wine.
