- Albarossa, a distinctive grape variety, was developed in a laboratory by the Italian viticulturist Giovanni Dalmasso in 1938. This unique hybrid resulted from the crossbreeding of the Chatus and Barbera grape varieties, combining the best traits of both.
- It wasn’t until 2002 that the Zunino estate made history by becoming the first to produce wine from Albarossa, showcasing the potential and unique characteristics of this innovative grape.
This exceptional wine presents a striking deep ruby-red color, further enriched by lingering purple hues that gracefully persist as the wine matures.
