- All’anello di Siracusa

- Albanello was never widely cultivated, yet it has a rich historical significance.
- Dating back to as early as 1700, it was recognized as a high-quality variety and remains one of the historical cultivars of the Syracuse area.
- Although there was once a proposal for a DOC designation for Albanello wine, it was ultimately rejected, likely due to its very limited and inconsistent productivity.
- Albanello vines are found sporadically in the provinces of Syracuse and Ragusa.

Locally, the wine is made in both a dry style and a significantly superior air-dried version, achieved by allowing the grapes to dry for eight days.
Despite not being inherently aromatic, Albanello has a tendency to evolve into a wine with complex floral and austere characteristics as it ages.
This wine can exhibit brightness and crispness, offering delicate floral notes and herbaceous white stone fruit aromas and flavors.
