Manzoni Rosso

Red

  • More commonly recognized as Incrocio Manzoni 2.15, this grape variety shares a common origin story with many other crossings: born out of an unintentional error. Originally planned as a blend of Glera and Sauvignon Blanc grapes to create a new white grape variety, the process took an unexpected turn when pollen from Cabernet Franc was inadvertently used instead of the intended Sauvignon Blanc.
  • Despite this serendipitous mishap, wines produced from this crossing exhibit commendable quality. However, they have yet to attain the same level of renown and acclaim as their white sibling.

Manzoni Rosso presents a medium-dark red hue, accompanied by a bouquet characterized by fruity and vinous aromas, accented by subtle hints of herbs and raspberry.
