  • Bramaterra DOC is a lesser-known but fascinating wine appellation from northern Piedmont, renowned for its distinctive wines made primarily from the Nebbiolo grape. It’s part of the Alto Piemonte region, which offers a different expression of Nebbiolo compared to the more famous areas like Barolo and Barbaresco.
  • The soils are rich in minerals due to ancient volcanic activity in the region, particularly the presence of porphyry, a type of volcanic rock. This gives the wines a distinctive mineral-driven complexity, which is different from the limestone-rich soils of Barolo and Barbaresco.
