  • Pomino is located in the province of Florence, within the larger Chianti region, but it stands out due to its unique microclimate. The vineyards are situated at higher altitudes, ranging from 350 to 700 meters above sea level, which provides a cooler climate compared to the surrounding areas.
  • The Frescobaldi family, one of Italy’s most famous and historic winemaking families, has been instrumental in the development and promotion of Pomino DOC. The Castello di Pomino estate, owned by the Frescobaldi family, has been producing wine in the region since the 19th century and played a key role in the establishment of the DOC.
