  • Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo DOC is located in the Abruzzo region of central Italy, encompassing the same areas as Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC, including the provinces of Chieti, L’Aquila, Pescara, and Teramo.
  • The name “Cerasuolo” is derived from the Italian word for cherry, “cerasa,” which reflects the wine’s vibrant cherry-red hue. This color is a result of the brief contact between the grape skins and the must during fermentation.
