  • Still Red Wine: minimum 50% Negro Amaro + maximum 40% Malvasia Nera di Lecce and/or Montepulciano and/or Sangiovese + maximum 30% other red grape varieties allowed for cultivation in the region. Minimum 85% Negro Amaro + maximum 15% other red grape varieties allowed for cultivation in the region. Minimum ageing – 24 months of which 6 – in oak for Riserva. Minimum 90% Negro Amaro + maximum 10% other red grape varieties allowed for cultivation in the region and 12 months of ageing for Superiore.
  • Still Rosato Wine: minimum 50% Negro Amaro + maximum 40% Malvasia Nera di Lecce and/or Montepulciano and/or Sangiovese + maximum 30% other red grape varieties allowed for cultivation in the region. Minimum 85% Negro Amaro + maximum 15% other red grape varieties allowed for cultivation in the region.
  • Passito: minimum 50% Malvasia Bianca + maximum 40% Vermentino.

  • Leverano DOC is situated in the Salento peninsula of Puglia, specifically in the province of Lecce. The DOC area includes the communes of Leverano, Porto Cesareo, and a portion of Copertino.
