  • Gutturnio DOC is located in the Colli Piacentini area of the Emilia-Romagna region in northern Italy, encompassing the hills surrounding the city of Piacenza.
  • The name “Gutturnio” is believed to derive from “gutturnium,” a type of ancient Roman silver drinking cup. This points to the long history of winemaking in the region, dating back to Roman times.
