  • Rosato: minimum 50% Sangiovese + maximum 50% of other grape varieties allowed for cultivation in the region. 
  • Passito: minimum 85% Aleatico + maximum 15% of other grape varieties allowed for cultivation in the region. Minimum ageing – 12 months. Minimum ageing of 24 months of which 18 months in oak and 6 months – in bottle for Riserva.

  • Sovana DOC is situated in the province of Grosseto in southern Tuscany, near the historic towns of Sovana, Pitigliano, and Sorano. The area is part of the Maremma region, known for its rolling hills and Mediterranean climate.
