  • Often referred to as the “Barolo of the South” due to its similar structure and aging potential.
  • The vineyards in the Taurasi area benefit from volcanic soils, which are rich in minerals and contribute to the wine’s complexity and depth. The region’s hilly terrain and elevation (400-700 meters above sea level) provide ideal conditions for grape growing.
  • Taurasi wines are known for their exceptional aging potential. Well-made examples can develop and improve over several decades, gaining complexity and depth with age.
